New Patients at Gillis Chiropractic Clinic

Some patients are nervous about visiting a chiropractor for the first time, so at Gillis Chiropractic Clinic, we take the time to let you know everything that’s going to happen—before it happens.

Your First Visit

Women sitting in waiting roomWhen you walk into our practice for the first time, you’ll be greeted warmly by our front desk staff, asked to sign in and for your license/identification card as well as any insurance card(s) you would like us to submit to. We then will provide you with any necessary paperwork that needs completed prior to seen by the doctor and you may take a seat in our cozy reception area while we scan your ID and insurance card. Once your paperwork has been completed, one of our skilled chiropractic assistants will take you back for your initial exam.

Please note you may fill out your paperwork prior to your visit.

During your exam you will be asked questions regarding any injuries, pain scale, type of pain as well as your health history. There then will be an assessment on your current mobility and range of motion on the area(s) you are seeking treatment. Based on this initial exam, the doctor may decide to take X-rays, which we offer on site.

Once all the initial exam information has been reviewed by the doctor, the doctor will then discuss a plan of treatment with you and answer any questions or concerns you may have. From there you will begin you plan of treatment, which could begin with therapies with one of our chiropractic assistants prior to your adjustment with the doctor.

This visit usually takes about one hour.

Follow-up Visits

At subsequent visits, we’ll greet you and ask that you sign in. Then one of our chiropractic assistants will take you back for any specific therapies that are on your active treatment plan and into an adjustment room with one of the doctors.

These visits usually take about 30 minutes.
